The dancefloor is hotting up very nicely at The Viking with the best UK country and linedance bands playing every Saturday Night! We have tired some new bands this year, but over the next few months we welcome some firm favourites and some old friends back to play our main stage. Please see the Gig guide page for full details.
There isn't a better time to visit the club, we have installed a brand new house system, the DJ just plays dancers requests and the best bands in the land play for your dancing and listening pleasure.
PLUS - Julie hosts weekly "FREE of Charge" linedance lessons at 1pm every Saturday afternoon and her walk-throughs at 6.30 each Saturday are very popular. (See the Linedancing page for more details.
So each and every Saturday night you can enjoy the best in Country music, linedance tuition and your requests played from 6.30pm until 1.00am! Or if you join her from 1pm for 12 hours of entertainment every Saturday at The Viking
VARIETY
Our motto for the last few years at The Viking has been that we are "Much More Than Just Country" and in 2008 we are going to prove this more than any other year. Our Wednesday and Sunday tribute nights have been so popular that we are adding holiday Friday's to our tribute portfolio. Tribute acts appearing next year include; Queen, Blondie, Bon Jovi, Madonna, Buddy Holly, Elvis, Status Quo, Dire Straits, The Beach Boys, Tom Jones, Meatloaf, The Beatles and more. Plus we have some names from the past like; Chicory Tip, The Huckleberries and Skool Reunion.
Brand NEW for 2008, Comedy Nights! As you can see tribute nights are going to be BIG PARTY NIGHTS at The Viking. Plus look out for our TRIBUTMAINA WEEKEND!!!!

Summer is nearly here and The Viking gets into the summer mood with the biggest line-up of LIVE music EVER!
Every Friday, Sunday and Wednesday night you can see the best in tribute and Entertainment bands only at The Viking. And for this year the entire Bank Holiday weekend in August becomes TRIBUTEMANIA with tributes to Simply Red, Queen, The Beach Boys and The Beatles all appearing over the holiday weekend. However if you can't make that weekend, there's the likes of Robbie Williams, Tina Turner, Dire Straits, Tom Jones, Neil Diamond, Meatloaf, Bon Jovi, Phil Collins and more! over the summer. On the country and linedance front, please keep coming every Saturday for FREE linedancing with Julie at 1pm which will be followed every Saturday Night with one or two of the best country and linedance bands in the land. Again,please see the gig guide for more details.
